Le vieillissement des infrastructures existantes n\u00e9cessite une r\u00e9habilitation compl\u00e8te comprenant r\u00e9parations, entretien, inspection et modernisation.<br>Par exemple, outre un entretien r\u00e9gulier, tous les ponts n\u00e9cessitent des r\u00e9parations. L&#039;aspect cl\u00e9 des r\u00e9parations structurelles est la limitation de charge pour la plupart des constructions en b\u00e9ton. Il en va de m\u00eame pour la plupart des constructions d\u00e9t\u00e9rior\u00e9es n\u00e9cessitant des r\u00e9parations. La principale cause de d\u00e9gradation est la rouille continue des armatures en acier. La r\u00e9habilitation avec des barres de fer est co\u00fbteuse et exige une intervention constante. Les produits composites sont r\u00e9sistants \u00e0 la corrosion, ce qui prolonge la dur\u00e9e de vie des structures en b\u00e9ton renforc\u00e9 par des PRF dans des environnements difficiles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>R\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la traction sup\u00e9rieure.<\/strong> Les fibres utilis\u00e9es dans les polym\u00e8res composites assurent une r\u00e9sistance accrue et une meilleure r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la fissuration.
